OUR PROGRAMMES
Delivering Our Mission Efficiently
This area of work is guided by Haki Yetu’s Strategic Plan (2023–2027), which provides a clear framework for strengthening internal systems, leadership, and accountability.
Under this pillar, we invest in human resource management by recruiting and retaining skilled staff, enhancing staff welfare, and supporting continuous professional development. We also prioritize resource mobilization to diversify our funding base and secure strategic partnerships that support the achievement of our goals.

To ensure consistent and transparent operations, we continue to institutionalize policies, systems, and best practices across all levels of the organization. Our board governance structures are strengthened to provide effective oversight and strategic leadership in line with our vision and mission.
Program coordination and design are central to this work, ensuring that our interventions are well-structured, community-driven, and aligned with our strategic objectives. Through our Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MERL) systems, we track results, document lessons, and promote a culture of reflection and continuous improvement. Research and documentation enable us to generate evidence, shape advocacy, and contribute to the broader discourse on social justice.
Communication and visibility efforts ensure that our work and impact are effectively shared with the public, partners, and stakeholders. By telling the stories of the communities we serve, we amplify their voices and build greater support for human rights, justice, and democratic governance.
Anchored in the guidance of our 2023–2027 Strategic Plan, institutional development equips Haki Yetu to remain a resilient, professional, and mission-driven organization — capable of advancing transformative change in the coastal region and beyond.
